Nursery/Pre-K

Our pre-school classrooms are located in an adjacent building in a spacious and welcoming environment.  Children enjoy outdoor recreational activities in a safe and enclosed playground.

We offer both half-day and full-day Nursery and Pre-K classes.  Recent research has shown that children attending full-day pre-school are much better prepared to achieve success in first grade and beyond.  In addition to a jump start in academics, our full-day program is ideal for working parents.  It eliminates the number of transitions a child may need to make during the day and significantly reduces stress for both parent and child.

ARRIVAL

Please bring your child into the building (lower church) each morning at 8:30 AM.  No child is to enter the building without being accompanied by an adult.

DISMISSAL

Morning Session dismisses at 11:30 AM – All Day Session dismisses at 2:30 PM

  • Please come to the classroom door to pick up your child.
  • If your child should ever need to be picked up by someone different on a particular day, please inform the teacher.
  • No child will be allowed to leave with another person unless you have notified the teacher.

    SICKNESS

Please call the school office at 949-6986 to report your child absent.  Communicable diseases must be reported to the school so other parents can be notified.

CLOTHING

An extra set of clothing, including underwear must be sent to school in a plastic bag, in the event of an accident.  Your child’s name must be written on the bag.   Complicated zippers, belts, suspenders, jumpers, etc. that make it difficult to use the bathroom should be avoided.  Please identify your child’s property by placing a name label on his/her clothing and other items that come to school.

TOYS

We have many wonderful toys at school for everyone to enjoy!  We ask that you not bring or send individual personal toys with your child to school.  Children get upset if their toys get lost/broken and arguments ensue over ownership.  We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.   

 BIRTHDAYS

Let’s celebrate!  Feel free to bring cupcakes to school for your child’s birthday.  We ask that you notify us a few weeks in advance, thereby giving us the opportunity to be prepared for the celebration.

SNACKS

You are asked to provide your child with a snack each day in a paper bag with your child’s name on it.  Snack time is part of our daily schedule.

LUNCH

If your child attends St. Anthony’s full day session, he/she must bring lunch and a drink everyday.

STAY & PLAY  ~  AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our after school program is available Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM ~ 5:30 PM at $6.00 an hour per child.  Registration forms for this service are available at the school office.  Pick up time is no later than 5:30 PM.  Please be considerate.

**The first Friday of every month all children are dismissed at 11:30 AM.  For those parents that might require the after school program, Stay ‘N’ Play is available from 11:30 – 5:30.  Your child will need lunch and an extra snack for that day.
